At Holberton, your journey begins with a deep dive into software engineering.
The Software Engineering Intensive Program is designed to take you from zero to a highly skilled software engineer through a blend of foundational theory, hands-on projects, and a final portfolio-worthy capstone.
More than a software engineer, you will learn to be a problem-solver. From day one, learners tackle real-world coding challenges, mastering C, Python, Linux, data structures, algorithms, databases, and web development.
This immersive, peer-driven learning experience prepares graduates to solve complex problems efficiently, making them job-ready from the moment they complete the program.
In year 2,
sharpen your focus with specialized training in computer programming.
THE PROGRAM
Intense, Short, and Career-Oriented.
Year 1: The Fundamentals
FULL TIME : 9 MONTHS
Level 1: Learn how programming languages work, primarily on Unix.
Level 2: Build a web service (database, back-end, front-end).
Level 3: Develop a web infrastructure similar to those used by LinkedIn, Facebook, and Google.
Prerequisites :
The only requirement is to be 16 years old. No diploma or high school certificate needed!
Year 2: The Specialisation
FULL TIME : 9 MONTHS

Prerequisites :
Complete the first year, or provide proof of a degree or professional experience in computer science.
